Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also had them long enough that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

Where did you end up buying them?

I picked them up for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.

How does the sizing run?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.
Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
How comfy are they?
They only needed minimal break-in time..
How do they perform over time?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is one of a kind. And the shine on mine? Stunning.
Are they worth it?
Yes! Just try not to pay full price. They’re not cheap, so getting them discounted is smarter. They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also be smart.

They’re true to size in my experience, at least for me. They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they help with airflow. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Plus, they’re already distressed so your feet just slide in.
How durable are they?
